a visit from the vikings...

Recently Rob's cousin Hanne, her husband Olav and their daughter Mathilde came to visit for Emma and Ollie's wedding... It was lovely to be able to spend some time with them, a trip to the zoo and also a couple of nights down south...

Dante and I caught up with Sue-Ellen and her little girl Alicia recently. Alicia is a month older than Dante. They had lots of fun playing :) (well Dante had a great time stealing toys off Alicia haha)

rob received a family zoo pass from his parents for his birthday this year, an excellent present! we went to the zoo on saturday afternoon for a couple of hours, it was great!

Summer 2010 2011

Looking through my photos this morning i realised i didn't take many pics over the holidays! Oops! I left my camera in my bag for Dante's first Christmas Eve, and his first Christmas Lunch! Oh well, there is always next year :) he enjoyed his usual mush anyway, next year he'll be eating the turkey :)

This activity table has been worth the $8 i bought it for (love e-bay) (i actually bought 2 of them - long story :) but they are soooo worth it! Dante LOVES it! endless hours of entertainment for Dante, lots of peace for me :) (apart from getting the songs stuck in my head... ABC and 123 :)

Another great find, this time from the side of the road! This swing was sitting on someone's verge for over a week... i went past it every day and decided that since it hadn't moved in a week it was mine! My lovely father-in-law cleaned it up and replaced the rusted hooks for me and it is as good as a bought one :)

we are not bad parents...

on saturday we had our annual christmas celebrations with friends... and Dante and Erica (Dave and Heather's daughter) had a little play together outside... no matter how many toys there are to play with, kids always find the most inappropriate thing to fight over... we are not bad parents, the bottle was empty and rinsed... but it kept them entertained for ages! nothing better than a bit of tug of war over a beer haha

Dante has been busy

The past few weeks Dante has been busy learning... its a full time job because there is so much to discover! It is amazing how quickly kids learn, without being taught! It also means that i've been busy chasing Dante around the house, standing by to try to stop him falling, and to cuddle him when i don't catch him on time and to kiss his 'ouchies' away... its so much fun being a mum!
