Two Two Two!

A few weeks ago, well almost 2 months ago we celebrated Dante's second birthday! Of course i didn't take any photos on the important day but have a few of his cake(s) :) Since Dante's favourite number is "two" we had 2 parties for him... a bbq dinner with family and a little party with his friends... double the cake, double the fun! I'll have to get some party photos from mum but here are his birthday cakes... as you may have guessed Dante LOVES trains!

Dante and his 'little' cousin Elijah are starting to play so nicely together! (ie, Elijah now pushes Dante back so they are even heehee) These boys are going to have so much fun growing up together xo

Just before Christmas we were lucky enough to spend 6 hours in Freo ED so Dante could get 3 stitches in his head... not an experience i'd like to do again, but i'm sure it won't be the last trip to ED with my little explorer! Unfortunately he had to be heavily sedated with Ketamine to have his head stitched up because he wouldn't sit still! poor little fella...

Ningaloo August

updating my blog has been one of those things i've been meaning to do... for 6 months!
we headed up to Ningaloo for a couple of weeks in August with Clint and Michelle and Elijah - what a wonderful and relaxing holiday!

what we have been up to...

Its been a while since i've posted anything on the blog! Oops! Over the past few months we have done a bit of work on the backyard, went camping for a weekend (cold!) and i have spent a lot of time outside with Dante, his FAVOURITE place to be!

We spent 2 nights down in the Dryandra Woodlands just outside of Williams recently on the long weekend, camping with just the 3 of us... It was freezing at night, we had ice on our tent in the mornings and it took til 10am til get over zero degrees! bbbrrrr! It was absolutely beautiful though, we spent most of our days going for walks in the area, and i even spotted an echidna!

here is a picture of Dante that was taken by Emma this past sunday... its a classic Dante picture - eating, as always, making a mess, as always, and scrunching up his face - which he does all the time, both when he is happy and when he is angry (often haha)

Dante's First Birthday!

First birthdays are fun, but i think they are a little bit over-rated... as a mum its great to plan a party, bake and decorate a cake etc etc but there is none of the excitement and anticipation from the soon to be 1 year old which would make it so much more special... That being said though, Dante had a ball at his party - he got to eat cake and he got lots of cuddles and attention from everyone!

Recently Rob's cousin Hanne, her husband Olav and their daughter Mathilde came to visit for Emma and Ollie's wedding... It was lovely to be able to spend some time with them, a trip to the zoo and also a couple of nights down south...
